Just wondering how other ladies manage their blood sugars around the week leading up to their period?
I find that I become insulin resistant-leading to higher, more stubborn blood sugars - and sometimes it gets difficult to manage high levels of exercise and adjusting insulin and food....it turns an already complex issue into even more complexity!
Another element during that week and the first few days is the severe lack of energy - does anyone else get this? Thought it might be interesting to see if others feel this and if they’ve found any effective techniques to manage things?
If any of you do have a particular method that works for you I’d love to hear it- I experiment with increasing basal rate- and try to listen to my body- and not turn into a sad monster who can’t stop stuffing her face!!🤣🤣🤣
Hey! I personally find my sugars are higher the week before my period, then when I am on, I tend to go low! I found it helped a lot when I started noting down what was happening and then I could spot trends and tailor my insulin requirements to my body. Hope this helps!
